I feel depressed that I didn't get a lot of things done
over the weekend. Apart from go to gigs and watching TV,
I did manage to finish "the google story" by David
Vise. This is an unofficial history of the google company.
It was interesting for a number of reasons. They only started
the company to buy more computers to index the web. They
didn't have any real ideas on how to make money when they
started. The online advertising idea was developed a plan
at the beginning. Google did start to make money very quickly,
so was not your standard dot com company.
